Events in 2017
CITiZAN archaeologists are holding events all around England. Come see when we'll next be in your area and join us!
- Berry Head is a promontory which has long been utilised for its natural defences, today it is peaceful national nature reserve but a couple of hundred years ago the promontory was buzzing with the English Army as one of the many fortifications built at the turn of the 19th century in response to the threat of the French and Napolean.
- A free day long workshop where you'll learn how to record features to add detail to CITiZAN's map of coastal intertidal archaeology
- Come join CITiZAN and Headland to Headspace over in Morecambe Bay for a workshop in how to rapidly record at risk archaeology on the coast. Join us for a short talk and tutorial on the app, a leisurely walk on the bay and an outdoor practical session.
