Training: Explore and record Orford Ness

Orford Ness, Woodbridge, Suffolk

Owned by the National Trust, and once home to a highly secretive atomic weapons and radar testing establishment, Orford Ness is a large shingle spit with an extremely dynamic coastline and plenty for us to record. This weekend will concentrate on updating features using the CITiZAN mobile app as well as checking for features along the fragile shingle shelf.

Come and join us and explore the the rich and varied history of Porlock Weir. We will walk our way through time from the Mesolithic submerged forest exposed on the beach at low tide to the 19th Century boat house nestled in the cliffs.
