Events in 2017
CITiZAN archaeologists are holding events all around England. Come see when we'll next be in your area and join us!
- Come join CITiZAN for a day workshop on the sandy beaches south of Bridlington to help record perhaps the best preserved First World War landscape on the coast in the country.
- The SS Fernebo split in two in January 1917. 100 years later pieces of the wreckage are still visible at low tide. During this free training weekend you will learn more about the First and Second World War shipping lanes and how to research and record coastal archaeology.
- Come and meet the CITiZAN team at the first annual University Archaeology Day at UCL. If you're interested in studying archaeology at university, you'll be able to meet representatives from archaeology departments from around the country!
- Join the South West team for a two day vessel recording session using the hulks at Hooe Lake in Devon. We will be teaching you how to use our app to monitor features on the foreshore and how to use simple archaeological survey techniques to create detailed site plans. Wellies essential!
