Events in 2017
CITiZAN archaeologists are holding events all around England. Come see when we'll next be in your area and join us!
- A free day-long workshop during which you'll learn how to record archaeological features to add detail to CITiZAN's online map of coastal and intertidal archaeology.
- Team south west will have a stand at the Dorset Dogs Festival on Saturday the 12th October, demonstrating how you can contribute to monitoring our coastal heritage whilst out walking the dog!
- Explore and record the fascinating Neolithic-Early Bronze Age submerged forest at Pett Level with the CITiZAN South East team and Environmental geoarchaeologist Dr Scott Timpany. This free training weekend includes a guided tour of the site, mini lectures, hands-on sample identification and a foreshore recording session.
- Come join CITiZAN on the Yorkshire coast for a workshop in how to rapidly record at risk archaeology on the coast. Join us for a short talk and tutorial on the app, a leisurely walk on the bay and an outdoor practical session.
- CITiZAN South West will be attending the Marine Wonders event at Lepe Beach on the 8th and 9th August as part of the South East Marine Week celebrations.
