Events in 2016
CITiZAN archaeologists are holding events all around England. Come see when we'll next be in your area and join us!
- The CITiZAN team will be helping the staff at Lepe Countryside Park with a Beach Clean. CITiZAN will be focusing on the remains of the WWII D-Day preparations, come and talk to us!
- Come and experience the 4000 year old prehistoric submerged landscape at Cleethorpes; see the remains of the submerged forest and the eroding peat shelves which in 2015 exposed a prehistoric trackway. The event is free but limited places are available so please book in advance.
- Join CITiZAN North and Big Heritage to gain some basic skills in archaeological recording on the coastline and help to recording the Formby Lifeboat Station. The morning will consisted of a classroom based session followed by an afternoon on the foreshore. If you are interested in participating please get in touch with info@bigheritage.co.uk. The event is free but places must be booked.
