Events in 2019
CITiZAN archaeologists are holding events all around England. Come see when we'll next be in your area and join us!
- Join the CITiZAN North team for a guided Low Tide Trail of New Brighton’s coastal archaeology. Discover the area's fascinating history.
- The land to build New Brighton was purchased in 1830 and it was hoped the town would rival the regency splendor of Brighton on the south coast. By the 1930's the town had the tallest building in England, the largest lido in the country and a fabulous pleasure pier. Sadly little of this seaside splendor now survives. Join Citizan to help record what remains.
- Oyster farming, fishing and salt production are all famed industries in the Blackwater Estuary and the roots of such activities may be traced back many centuries, even into prehistory. Join us to learn more.
- the second episode of the series explores the dramatic Inner Forth in Scotland
- CITiZAN North will be presenting on past, current and future plans for the Humberside Discovery Programme
