River Ancholme Car Park

The CITiZAN North team will be at South Ferriby on Friday 17th May 2019 10am – 2pm

We will introduce you to CITiZAN and our aims at the same time as discussing our volunteer lead AppInteractive Coastal Map, and recording techniques we us on the foreshore around the country.

There will be the option to join one of us at low water mark for a foreshore survey along the South Ferriby—Barton-on-Humber coastline. Alternatively we will also conduct a survey around the Sluice area both of which will introduce attendees to recorded and potentially unknown sites and assets in the area.

Both options will highlight the areas historic connections to industry and trade associated with quarry working, cement production and shipping. There will be opportunities to sign up for future training events to become a CITiZAN surveyor.

This is a free event but places are limited and booking is essential. Tickets can be booked via Eventbrite here.
