Events in 2018
CITiZAN archaeologists are holding events all around England. Come see when we'll next be in your area and join us!
- Explore and record the fascinating Neolithic-Early Bronze Age submerged forest at Pett Level with CITiZAN and environmental geoarchaeologist Dr Scott Timpany. This free training weekend includes a foreshore recording session and hands-on sample identification workshop
- The CITiZAN south west team will be running two guided walks of the WWII remains at Studland Beach in Dorset on Wednesday 21st March. We will be exploring the anti tank defences, walking through Fort Henry and taking a look at a type 25 pill box on the beach, we will also be joined by Nick Reed who will tell us about the remains of 7 Valentine tanks which now lie on the sea bed in the bay.
- CITiZAN have been invited to talk at the opening of artist Cliff Crawford's exhibition Waveworn. Through repeated series of photographs Cliff's work deals with coastal change and he'll also be giving a talk about his work on the too. We're delighted to have this opportunity share a platform with him. Waveworn runs from Saturday March 3 - Friday March 23; the Gallery is open Thurs - Sun 12 noon–5pm
