Well what do you know - CITiZAN have been shortlisted in the prestigious Charity Awards! These awards highlight charities in a variety of sectors from conservation to disability to international aid to heritage who can demonstrate innovation as well as fabulous outcomes and a sustainable model that others can learn from. So as you can imagine, we are all chuffed to bits! 

 

 

Stephanie and Gustav have been invited to 'a sparkling gala presentation ceremony' in June where the winners will be announced. This gives us plenty of time to decide which wellies and boilersuits in our wardrobes will be suitable for this fabulous event. 

Keep your fingers crossed and follow along with #CharityAwards on social media to see what happens when intertidal archaeologists get invited to a black tie gala! 

 

Thanks go out to our amazing project supporters the Heritage Lottery Fund, National Trust, The Crown Estate and Historic England; our lovely project partners Council for British Archeology and Nautical Archaeology Society and project host MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology); and to all of our stellar CITiZAN archaeologists Lauren, Therese, Alex, Nick, Andy, Lara, Oliver and Megan.

But the hugest thanks go to all of our super volunteers who have worked tirelessly and joyfully over the last 3 years to record our island heritage!
