Course of tramway. Opened in 1806-7 between Middlebere Quay and Norden Heath clay pits. The route was powered by animal traction until its closure in 1866. There was also a later seperate line from Norden to Newton which employed steam engines: this latter line was built in 1907 and closed in 1939.
