Join us and our partners at Mersea Museum for a fantastic drop-in session with finds specialist, Dr. Helen Chittock (ACIfA), your CITiZAN team of Oliver Hutchinson and Danielle Newman, and local foreshore experts.

We are looking to record and identify any pottery, coins, metal or bones you have found during your lockdown walks (and beyond) to help us build up a better picture of the history of Mersea Island. The CITiZAN team will be on hand to show you how to record your own foreshore finds with our new app and to talk about the wide range of free guided coastal walks coming up this summer. There's also the chance to chat with some of our fantastic volunteers who will be showcasing some of their intriguing archaeological finds from beaches of Mersea.

This drop is session will be held between 11:00-17:00 outdoors in the carpark of Mersea Museum, located at 12 High Street, West Mersea, Mersea Island, Essex, CO5 8QD, United Kingdom. The museum will be open during this time for you to visit and see displays by CITiZAN and other local community organizations.
