Come join the CITiZAN on Cleethorpes Beach for a foreshore ramble and discover the preserved prehistoric landscape hidden below the sands.

We will introduce you to the remains of the early landscapes of the Cleethorpes water front and visit some of the close-to-shore exposures of a Bronze Age "submerged forest". There will also be chance to spot a number of ship wreck remains further out and discuss the tourist development of Cleethorpes in the 19th and 20th centuries along the promenade.

Meet us infront of the waterfall in the Pier Gardens on the Central Promenade @ 2pm where we will introduce ourselves and begin our walk down onto the beach. The walk will take approximatly 2 hours but with plenty of chance for questions!! Wellies are essential to access any of the muddy areas close-to-shore.
