CITiZAN Training - South Devon Rivers Discovery Programme

17/08/2019  |  9:30 a.m.

Kingswear, Devon

Day 1 will be a classroom session where we will discuss coastal and intertidal archaeology and some of the principle techniques that we can employ to record and monitor sites, particularly those at risk from sea level rise, erosion and other processes associated with climate change.

Day 2 we'll put our boots on and head out for some hands-on fieldwork where can put our skills to good use.  We will start by recording one of the iconic lime kilns in Waterhead Creek, Kingswear where we will employ a range of  techniques.

We hope to establish a group of committed volunteers to whom we can offer follow up training sessions, workshops and survey days on different types of sites across the South Devon area.

Places are limited to a maximum of 15 and booking is essential via Eventbrite.

Any questions please contact Therese by email - tkearns@mola.org.uk or by phone - 07718 570387.
