Submerged Landscapes - Submerged Forest Recording at Porlock Weir
30/09/2016 | 9:30 a.m.
Porlock Weir, Exmoor
CITiZAN and Exmoor National Park authority are teaming up to explore the prehistoric landscapes of Porlock Wier. An area which has been explored in the past but is curently lacking any long ter monitoring of the loss of the prehistoric forest. Working with local volunteers we are hoping to enhance the record by creating a plan to compare with those done in the 90s and early 2000s.
As always the event is free but spaces are limited so please book in advance to avoid disappointment via eventbrite.
The meeting time will be 0930 on Friday morning.
Please note that when working with submerged forests it is impossible to guarentee their exposure. Should the submerged forest not be exposed we will transport attendees to the exposed lime kilns on the beach at Bossington.
