Training: Hightown Submerged Forest

Come join CITiZAN North and help us to recrod a rapidly eroding submerged forest and peat shelf at Hightown on the 24th and 25th Septmber.

This weekend is aimed at individuals who wish to learn new or improve skills in archaeological surveying. The weekend will encompass the theory and method behind recording archaeological features in the intertidal zone. No previous experience is needed.

 

We will be meeting at St Stephens Church Hall at 10.00am on Saturday 24th for some classroom based learning before heading out to site on Sunday 25th.

Please be aware that the site can be very slippery so please wear stout footwear, wellies are recommeneded. Please ensure that appropriate clothing is also brought, for example a waterproof and sun cream.
