CITiZAN and NAS training weekend

This weekend is aimed at those who wish to gain skills in archaeological survey. The weekend will encompass a theory element which will be based at the Explosion! Museum where you will be introduced to the NAS, CITiZAN and archaeological survey. To enable a more thorough understanding of the history of Gosport a guided wallk will be provided by Terry Hinkley on the Saturday prior to the practical element of the course.
On the Saturday we will be using the remains of the Minesweeper M113 the aim is to provide training in recording vessels in the intertidal zone whilst on the Sunday we will be exploring Fort James on Burrow Island. This rare opportunity to see the remains of the fort will be combined with rapid recording techniques such as photography and using the CITIZAN app. This will all be finished with a fish and chip supper on the Sunday provided by CITiZAN.
