Events in 2015
CITiZAN archaeologists are holding events all around England. Come see when we'll next be in your area and join us!
- CITiZAN south west will be joining up with the Heritage Open Days in Gosport. CITiZAN will be displaying at Fort Brockhurst from the 10th - 12th September 2015 and providing guided walks around Forton lake discussing the history of the lake and the vessel remains which can still be seen today.
- CITiZAN will be at the Old Low Light, North Shields, to talk about the project and the plans they have in the North-East in regards to training and outreach.
- CITiZAN south west will be working with Lepe country park staff and the Friends of Lepe to set up a monitoring programme for the WWII D-Day remains and terrace deposits of the extinct Solent River.
- A chance to meet the CITiZAN team at our stall at the National Trust's Bioblitz in Blakeney
- CITiZAN will present a paper at the EAA (European Archaeology Association) conference in Glasgow, championing "citizen science" as a great response to the threat to archaeology by climate change.
