From Prehistoric Footprints to the First Lifeboat Station

Discover the incredible archaeology along the Sefton Coastline. These range from prehistoric footprints through to the tar dumps created in the 50s and 60s. This is also the site of Formby lifeboat station, the first lifeboat station in England to rescue people from the treacherous sea which claimed many vessels.
