Guided walk - Stokes Bay - NOW FULL

Stokes Bay, Gosport

 

On this walk, from the Sailing Club to the No 2 Battery West Car Park, we will explore some of the intriguing remains from D-Day preparations which included the construction of the Phoenix caissons, part of the Mulberry Harbours and the embarkation of large numbers of troops.  You can also find out how to become a CITiZAN archaeological surveyor.

Walking shoes or trainers are recommended. The walk is entirely outdoors, so please consider the weather – insect repellent, sunscreen or an umbrella may be necessary.
