FOUL AREA.
April 20 2017: Lines of timber posts running at a c 20 degree angle to the existing pier/revetment. Possibly part of the South Pier as marked on the Ordnance Survey 6" map of 1904 and possibly out of use by 1929 as the Ordnance Survey 6" map for that year ( see maps.nls.uk) shows considerable change in this area by this time. The December 1945 aerial photograph on Google Earth shows the pier and this feature the same as they appear today.
