CITiZAN archaeologists are holding events all around England. Come see when we'll next be in your area and join us!
- Join the south west team for a day at the historic Fort Cumberland as part of the Festival of Archaeology. We will be holding an app workshop in the morning followed by a picnic lunch (supplied by us) and finished off with a tour of the fort!
- THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED The foreshore surrounding Mersea Island is awash with archaeology. Over the past 18 months a host of new features have been discovered by CITiZAN volunteers providing a tantalising glimpse at a lost landscape and the people who inhabited Join us in July as we continue to walk the foreshore and monitor over 40 archaeological features.
- Join CITiZAN on the banks of the Humber, at Victoria Docks in Hull for a training course to help record the remains of Earle's Shipyard, including the remains of three abandoned vessels. Please note that this event is specifically for 16-25 years old ONLY.
- Come join us at Earle's Shipyard on the bank of the River Humber, near Victoria Docks (off Corinthian Way or via the promenade). See the three hulked vessels, the shipyard slipways and explore the site digitally.
- Come and join us at Turf Lock where we will be spending a couple of days recording the remains of some of the vessels at Turf Lock at the confluence of the River Exe and the Exeter Canal. We will be looking at the remains of two vessels, one of which is a barge and the other is a possible lugger/fishing boat. Our aim for the two days will be to complete a baseline survey of each vessel.
